Misaq is a Muslim marriage platform. You create a Nikah ID, our system finds compatible matches, our team approves each match, and we introduce matched members and their families on WhatsApp.
2. What we collect
Your Nikah ID. Name, age, gender, city and country, education, occupation, marital history, religious practice and school of thought, family details, your preferences and deal-breakers, height, and whether you smoke.
Contact details. Your WhatsApp number, your email, and your wali's number if you give it.
Private fields. Some answers are never shown on a public Nikah ID card. These include income and home type, along with anything else marked private on the form. They are used for matching only.
Messages. Messages and button replies you send to our WhatsApp numbers, including the reason you give when you decline a match.
3. Why we use it
To find and suggest matches. To let our team review each one. To send you match updates and reminders on WhatsApp. To introduce families. To improve our matching. And to keep the service safe.
4. Consent
We only message members who agreed on the Nikah ID form, or who opted in by messaging us first.
You can reply STOP at any time and we will stop messaging you.
5. What other members see
Before both people agree, a matched member sees only your public Nikah ID card.
Phone numbers and photos are shared only after both people say yes and we create the family group.
The reason you give for declining a match is never shown to the other person.
6. Who we share data with
Only the service providers we need to run Misaq:
Supabase — database and hosting.
Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform — message delivery.
n8n — workflow automation.
An AI model provider — to read free-text preferences and flag
possible conflicts for our team.
We never sell personal data.
7. Sensitive information
Religious practice and marital history are part of matchmaking. We collect them only with your consent, and only to match you.
8. Where your data is stored
On servers that may be outside your country, including in the United States.
9. How long we keep it
While your account is active, and for up to 12 months after your last activity, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
10. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, or delete it. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

11. Age
Misaq is for adults aged 18 and over only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
12. Security
Access is limited to the Misaq team. Data is encrypted in transit.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
